   Dr. Randy Cross is a graduate of the University of North Alabama and holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Mississippi. He has published in various scholarly journals, served as a scholar for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and delivered hundreds of lectures for Auburn University's Arts and Humanities Center and the Alabama Humanities Foundation. In 1986 he was named a Fulbright Scholar and taught American literature at the University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 1990 and 1991, he was a Senior Fulbright Scholar at the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
Aside from his scholarly publishing and lecturing, Dr. Cross has entertained numerous audiences with his stories which can often be heard on WLRH public radio. Randy tells stories from his childhood in St. Joseph, Tennessee, his years of living and teaching in South America and Europe, and from his observations in North Alabama.
A retired lieutenant colonel from the Tennessee Army National Guard, Dr. Cross teaches English at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama. He and his wife, Kim, live in Decatur with their son, Alex. |
